Missy Orr McKenzie, owner

Missy, a proud native of Northeast Louisiana, has been passionate about cooking and the healing power of good food throughout her life. Known for her exceptional service, innovative yet comforting flavor combinations, and commitment to using locally sourced and organic ingredients, she consistently exceeds expectations with every event she caters or family meal she prepares. After studying at The French Culinary Institute in NYC and receiving one-on-one mentorship from renowned chefs Jacques Pépin and Jacques Torres, Missy returned to Louisiana. While she pursued careers in education and event planning, her love for cooking remained unwavering. Today, after much prayer and dedication, she happily steps forward as the founder and lead chef of In Good Thyme.
